Les Domestiques Membership Commitment

  1. Can't be "that guy" or "that woman".

    • We will never leave a single rider behind

    • We care more about the group's ride and the ride of other members than we do our own

    • We support one another to enhance the quality and overall experience of our rides

  2. Charity Participation

    We participate in at least 2 of the 6 "signature" charity events for that year

  3. Club Participation

    We lead or organize at least 1 event every three years, that benefits the members.

  4. Club Kit and Gifting

    Our image is very important to us. Our kit is for members only.

  5. Members Only Website

    A members only website has been created for the members to share information and keep up to date on events. It is for the exclusive use of the members and should never be shared with anyone outside the club.

    To log in go to http://lesdomestiquesmembers.com. The site is designed to for all members to add events and notifications that are considered relevant to the membership. This can include upcoming charitable related causes, group rides, social events and club excursions. When you add a specific event, it automatically sends an email notification to all of the members inclusive of all of the details of your event. If you need a quick tutorial on how to login or use the calendar, please contact Dan Watt at dgwatt@gmail.com.


  6. Membership Fees

    Annual fees are due every year on the first day of the month that you joined the club, payable within 14 days. When you join, you must sign a waiver and email or fax to Flavia.mestria@td.com   fax: 416-308-1450. Please do so if you haven't already.

    Note: The Ontario Cycling Association provides liability and injury insurance during club events. The full description of the insurance which is provided to the Ontario Cycling Association via the Canadian Cycling Association can be found at the following web site. Once you have signed the waiver you are also an OCA Club Member (see below).

    Club Member
    This category applies to individuals belonging to an OCA affiliated club who do not hold a Race License or Citizen Permit. The Club Membership program is a way for club members to gain access to the OCA's sport injury and liability insurance coverage during their club events. Club Members do not have a vote at the OCA's Annual General Meeting, nor are they eligible for provincial upgrade points. Club Memberships can only be purchased through your local club. It is not a racing membership and Les Domestiques will pay OCA the $20 club membership fee.



Who Are 'Les Domestiques'? 

Les Domestiques started in early 2009 as an idea.  Many of us love to ride.  We may not race.  We enjoy riding and networking with like-minded individuals, and we like to give to good causes.  The concept of "Les Domestiques" was born around filling this need in the Greater Toronto Area.  We eventually hope to expand to other areas of Canada.

Who We Are

We are like-minded cyclists who like to ride together to raise money for charities.  Our aim is to use our leadership to inspire more people to take up cycling and to raise money for charities

  1. Mission

    To achieve a part of the mission of Les Domestiques, an advocacy committee for sustainability has been formed to help governments provide a geographically extensive network of cycling paths for commuting, fitness and commerce. These paths must be safe and promote the four main benefits of cycling: reduced cost of living, health improvement, environmental protection, and the promotion of Canadian competitive cycling.

  2. Beliefs

    The bicycle is the most energy efficient, affordable and healthy mode of personal transport available to the majority of Canadians. Les Domestiques is committed to promoting a safe, popular and vibrant culture of cycling in Canada.

We will have group rides, special events, and you'll have a ready made "team" to attend Charity rides with (see Events page)
